Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (E-logs) and adhere to Hours of Service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Ensure all paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, is completed accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and cargo handling procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks.
