Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic conditions, and delivery updates.
- Keep the truck clean and organized, managing fueling and maintenance as directed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Ohio.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for logbook accuracy.
- Willingness to travel routes to New York and surrounding areas.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
