Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and comply with all DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and clients at delivery locations.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to management.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (or B with Hazmat) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and sitting for extended driving periods.
