Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within the Seattle area.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects immediately.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pick-up interactions.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the maintenance department promptly.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or B if local delivery is the primary focus).
- A clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- At least 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Familiarity with the Seattle, WA area and traffic patterns is highly preferred.
