Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to operate in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Strong commitment to safety, time management, and customer service.
- Basic knowledge of trucking equipment and maintenance procedures.
