Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner across assigned routes.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring safety and securing loads per DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and ensure compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Uphold a professional image and adhere to company policies and safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance driving skills and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
