Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the vehicle.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual labor as required, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and compliance with hours-of-service rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any route changes.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A License required (Florida issued).
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT Medical Card) must be valid.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and road conditions.
