Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical integrity of the equipment.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all freight is handled with care and damaged goods are reported.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and other paperwork as required by FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Uphold a professional image while representing the company's brand on the road and at customer sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience (preferred for top pay).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 minor moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and sit for extended periods.
