Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in a safe and legal manner at all times.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and daily paperwork (BOL, manifests).
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and customer satisfaction goals.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status and potential delays.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding driving hours and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for 12 months.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations or DUIs in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination with no restrictions.
