Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is road-ready.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual labor, ensuring weight distribution is balanced.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) logs.
- Interact professionally with customers and delivery sites to ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws at all times.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic knowledge of navigation systems and route planning software.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
