Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and in pristine condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo, securing loads properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally during loading/unloading.
- Willingness to travel and work varied schedules as needed.
