Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently in a regional/local delivery capacity.
- Load and unload freight securely using proper tie-down procedures and equipment.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with receivers and shippers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic delays or route changes.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
