Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for multi-state freight delivery
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while meeting delivery deadlines
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques (strapping, blocking, etc.)
- Document all delivery transactions and maintain electronic logs via ELD systems
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route conditions and delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazardous materials (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route planning software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Pass background check and TSA security clearance
