Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on schedule and within company guidelines.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT 3070) and manage all necessary shipping and receiving documentation.
- Load and secure cargo properly using straps and binders to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) valid for at least 90 days.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or DUIs in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of US geography and navigation systems.
