Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delivery times.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
- Willingness to undergo CDL training if you have a license but lack specific experience.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required.
