Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive Class A trucks to deliver freight to various destinations within the region and beyond.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Secure cargo using straps, chains, and binders, ensuring safety compliance during transit.
- Maintain Vehicle Records: Complete daily vehicle inspections (DVIR), logbook entries, and maintain accurate delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and company safety policies.
- Customer Service: Deliver professional and courteous service to customers at each stop.
- Route Management: Plan routes efficiently to ensure on-time delivery while managing fuel consumption.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License: Must hold a current commercial driver's license (Clean driving record required).
- Eligible for Employment: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- No Professional Driving Experience: New graduates are welcome; we provide the training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb in and out of the cab, and sit for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle cash and make change if required.
