Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and legally compliant manner.
- Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
- Secure cargo load and ensure proper weight distribution.
- Manage Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs accurately to stay within hours-of-service regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and geography in the Colorado Springs area.
