Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) in a safe and timely manner according to all traffic laws.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FMCSA and DOT requirements.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Deliver freight to customers in the Chicago region and surrounding areas efficiently.
- Ensure cargo security and provide excellent customer service at delivery points.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience required.
- 21 years of age or older to operate commercial vehicles.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam (Medical Card).
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with cargo handling and freight securing procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
