Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in compliance with all federal and state DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes and delivery times.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect yourself, the cargo, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT hours-of-service regulations, and safety standards.
- Physically capable of performing essential job functions, including lifting and sitting for extended periods.
- Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
