Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on various routes within the region.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is secure.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (DOT logs) and daily inspection reports.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is road-ready and report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
