Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and other tie-down equipment.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and delivery logs.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual handling as required.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and traffic laws.
- Willingness to work varying shifts including nights and weekends.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
