Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, efficient, and legal manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety regulations and policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image and represent the company positively at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or B for local delivery roles).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong willingness to learn and obtain endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker) if desired.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Reliable history of attendance and punctuality.
