Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring freight is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere to strict time-of-day driving regulations and DOT hours-of-service limits.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a clean driving record and demonstrate defensive driving techniques at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving abstract.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road conditions.
- Must possess a reliable personal vehicle for local errands.
