Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily paperwork, including delivery receipts and bills of lading.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Excellent driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
