Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to various delivery points in the Columbus metro area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve any delivery-related issues.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT physical.
- Previous experience in delivery or logistics preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle maintenance.
