Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to various customer locations across the region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts, ensuring cargo security during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (hazmat preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting tasks.
