Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 53-foot tractor trailer or straight truck on various road conditions.
- Load and unload freight using proper lifting techniques and equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
- Verify cargo for damage and accuracy upon pickup and delivery.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT) and complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement procedures and safety regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
