Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated delivery points in Sacramento and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying deliveries and resolving any issues on-site.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant).
- Clean driving record with no recent DUI or reckless driving violations.
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento area roads and logistics routes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks at loading docks.
