Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A delivery vehicles in and around the New Orleans metropolitan area and Florida region.
- Load and unload freight efficiently and securely using proper safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR, Hours of Service) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is road-ready.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients and handling on-site deliveries.
- Manage inventory and paperwork accurately upon arrival and departure.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required (out-of-state transfers welcome).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination to ensure fitness for duty.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn the logistics industry.
- Basic English communication skills for reporting and customer interaction.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
