Job Overview
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently to various commercial and residential destinations within the DC and VA metro region. Your role is critical to our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on local and regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using dollies, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for inventory and cash handling (if applicable).
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
