Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Manage cargo loading and securing to ensure weight distribution and prevent shifting.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with consignees and shippers.
- Perform routine vehicle cleaning and minor maintenance checks.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
