Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to designated customer locations in Georgia and Florida.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper handling equipment, ensuring cargo security and preventing damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily delivery paperwork.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying delivery details and resolving any service issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to maintain a clean driving record.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) valid for at least 60 days.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and Florida roadways and traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and performing manual labor duties.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.
