Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently across the Miami, FL and New York, NY regions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, including bills of lading and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, ensuring signatures and proper handling of goods.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to prevent accidents and violations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required (or eligibility to obtain one through our training program).
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends if necessary.
- Basic English proficiency for reading maps and safety signage.
