Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A delivery trucks safely and efficiently in and around the Miami, FL area.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and safety.
- Verify delivery of goods against delivery orders and obtain signatures from recipients.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and ensure all vehicle maintenance records are up to date.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and ensure goods are delivered in pristine condition.
- Manage fueling, inspections, and minor vehicle troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling and securement procedures.
- Basic math skills for inventory and cash handling.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
