Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo and equipment.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to traffic laws and company policies regarding route planning and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery statuses and potential issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on position) with the required endorsements (e.g., Tanker, Hazmat if applicable).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and customer service.
