Job Overview:
We are looking for reliable CDL drivers to operate our regional and local routes. This is a full-time position focused on weekend shifts, ensuring that our customers receive their freight on time while giving you the freedom to enjoy your weekdays.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles on assigned routes within the Jacksonville area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical examination on file.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Strong understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
