Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently over assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and potential delays.
- Adhere to all safety policies, traffic laws, and company driving standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or Class B) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations and paperwork.
- Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
