Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver products to customers on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a zero-accident environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and sitting for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
