Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to FMCSA guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial trucking environment.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Physical.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, cargo handling procedures, and navigation software.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
