Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security.
- Verify delivery details and obtain customer signatures as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local Cleveland, OH routes and geography.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50-100 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
