Job Summary
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers. You will serve as the face of our company, ensuring our clients receive excellent service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Deliver products to designated customer locations on schedule, maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Manage and verify delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Resolve minor customer issues on-site and report any vehicle maintenance needs immediately.
- Adhere to strict time management guidelines to ensure on-time delivery performance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and navigation.
- Must be able to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
