Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport freight across the region and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs promptly to keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or B for specific positions).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo up to 50 lbs independently.
- Reliable history of attendance and punctuality.
- Basic computer skills for logging and documentation purposes.
