Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on local delivery routes within San Diego and surrounding counties.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Complete and maintain accurate delivery logs, bill of lading, and daily mileage reports.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating manual and automatic transmissions.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
