Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently over various routes, including the Austin, TX corridor.
- Load and secure cargo according to safety regulations and proper weight distribution.
- Complete all required daily vehicle inspections (DVIR) and maintain accurate logbooks (ELD).
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status updates and delays.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and a background check.
- Strong knowledge of pre-trip and post-trip inspection procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
