Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes within the Northeast corridor
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques per DOT regulations
- Deliver freight on schedule while adhering to delivery time windows
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Comply with all FMCSA safety standards and company policies
- Document delivery exceptions and maintain delivery documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexibility for weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday)
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
