Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes in Virginia and surrounding states
- Safely transport freight while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Accurately complete logs, delivery paperwork, and electronic logging system entries
- Maintain excellent communication with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Represent Atlantic Freight Solutions professionally at all customer locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional geography
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic technology
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in various weather conditions
