Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailer trucks in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and electronic dispatch documentation.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and cargo securement.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and electronic paperwork.
