Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to transport goods safely and efficiently over designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and bars, ensuring total load integrity during transit.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws to ensure maximum safety.
- Provide professional communication and customer service while interfacing with shippers and receivers.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (no restrictions).
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and cargo securement rules.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to navigate complex routes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for log entry and communication.
