Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Load and secure cargo using straps, chains, and binders to prevent damage during transit.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure safety compliance (DVIR).
  • Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and manage delivery paperwork efficiently.
  • Deliver freight to designated customer locations on or before the scheduled appointment time.
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
  • Uphold company safety standards and participate in ongoing safety training programs.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience in tractor-trailer operations.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations, HOS (Hours of Service), and logbook compliance.
  • Willingness to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
  • Basic computer skills for accessing dispatch software and electronic paperwork.
