Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) on regional routes within the San Diego area.
- Load and unload freight with care, ensuring cargo integrity and security.
- Complete electronic logging device (ELD) logs accurately and maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than one moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management skills.
